Helping moms learn the basics of breastfeeding so she is able to successfully breastfeed her child. Get directions at the front desk.

This 2 hour class discusses the benefits of breastfeeding to the mother/infant. There is a review of the anatomy & physiology of the breast. Discussion topics include latch-on, proper positioning for breastfeeding & some common situations such as engorgement, soreness, treatments & sleepy baby. Further discussions include use of breast pumps, diet & use of medication while breastfeeding.

In-person seating is limited. Check in at the Main Entrance of the hospital and they will direct you to the Conference Center.
