Erena S. Treskova, MD

Erena Treskova, MD, graduated from Columbia Presbyterian Babies Hospital fellowship in 1999. She is always eager to expand her horizons and has successfully acquired knowledge that allows her to provide the most efficient means by which to diagnose and treat her patients. Being a mother of two, she knows first hand how to deal with children and is always looking for more natural effective treatments with fewer side effects. Her special interests and qualifications in allopathic medicine, nutrition, homeopathy, herbal medicine, and manual therapy come in handy. Dr. Treskova is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, nutrition and clinical homeopathy. She is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN), the Center for Education and Development of Homeopathy (CEDH), the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and the American College of Nutrition.  

Pediatric gastroenterology is a pediatric subspecialty that requires three years of pediatric residency training followed by three years of pediatric gastroenterology training. During these six years of in-depth training, physicians specialize in and concentrate on childhood and gastroenterological diseases, acquiring specialty training in pediatric endoscopy procedures and becoming proficient in the treatment of such conditions. Dr. Treskova has gone beyond that, receiving honored board certifications in both general pediatric and pediatric gastroenterology, as well as passing exams given by the Board of America College of Nutrition and Clinical Homeopathy. To maintain this status, Dr. Treskova is required to be certified every few years, She is excited in her quest to broaden her knowledge of new techniques and procedures to help babies, children and adolescent patients cope with their discomfort and gain relief.
