About Phillip L. Massengill, MD

Phillip L. Massengill, MD, FACS, graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 1995 and completed his Surgical Internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. He went on to complete his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, in conjunction with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. Prior to medical school, Dr. Massengill was involved in noise induced hearing loss research which culminated in a Master of Arts in Medical Sciences at Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Massengill is a board-certified Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon and is affiliated with Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center and Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY where he is the Chairman of the Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Department. He is also the Vice President of the Medical Staff at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. His interests include general and pediatric otolaryngology, endoscopic and balloon sinus procedures. Dr. Massengill is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Board of Governors Legislative Affairs Committee and is on the Academy Foundation's Development Committee which is responsible for raising funds for the Academy's many charitable and strategic goals.

Dr. Massengill is a military veteran having served with the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division in Operation Iraqi Freedom in Balad, Iraq in 2004. He served as a Physician on active duty in the United States Army from 1995-2006.

Dr. Massengill is also now performing a breakthrough procedure for the treatment of Chronic Sinusitus called Balloon Sinuplasty.
