One of only six healthcare organizations in the United States to be recognized for Innovation and Leadership in Transforming Patient Care

Garnet Health, formerly the Greater Hudson Valley Health System, is pleased to announce it has been named a national 2020 Success Story Award® winner by Press Ganey.

Press Ganey is an independent organization that honors achievement in delivering reliable, safe, compassionate and high-quality care. The Press Ganey Success Story Award is a highly regarded symbol of achievement in the healthcare industry. Garnet Health is one of only six organizations in the United States to receive this honor in 2020.

“This honor reflects our selfless commitment to touching the lives of our patients,” said Garnet Health President and CEO Scott Batulis. “Press Ganey’s recognition validates our mission to improve the health of our community by delivering exceptional care.”

The Success Story Award recognizes outstanding health care organizations nationally that have demonstrated innovation and dedication to transforming the safety, quality, and experience of care in their 2020 Virtual National Client Conference presentation submission.

Garnet Health paired clinical leaders with non-clinical leaders to make patient rounds together and identify process improvement opportunities. This included conducting medical equipment surveys with nursing staff and working personally with the hospitals’ chefs to implement healthier, tastier menu options. This innovative concept helped non-clinical leadership and staff better understand the needs of bedside care and fostered non-clinical leaders’ connection to clinical teams.
