Garnet Health Medical Center Appoints Chief Nursing Officer

Garnet Health Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Debora Snyder, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, CEN as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

In her new role, Ms. Snyder, who is also Vice President of Patient Care Services, has operational responsibility, including Emergency Services, Observation Care, Medical-Surgical Division, Critical Care Division, Women’s and Children’s Services, Patient Experience, Guest Services, Pastoral Care, Nursing Professional Development, Nursing Clinical Operations and Nursing Magnet Designation.

Ms. Snyder served as the Interim CNO for the past six months and was previously Vice President of Nursing where she was responsible for Emergency Services, Observation Care, Behavioral Health and Neuroscience. 

She joined Garnet Health Medical Center in 2016 as Administrator of Emergency Services and served in nursing leadership roles including Women’s and Children’s Services and Behavioral Health Services. 

Ms. Snyder holds several certifications by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Nurse Executive Advanced – Board Certified (NEA-BC) and by the Emergency Nurse Association (ENA) Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN). She has a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois and is currently working on her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree. 

She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Emergency Nurse Association, American College of Healthcare Executives, and New York Organization of Nurse Executive Leaders.
