Garnet Health and the Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Club partner for a school-supply drive benefiting local families.
MIDDLETOWN, NY — Garnet Health Medical Center and Garnet Health Medical – Catskills have partnered with the Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Club to host a school-supply drive, benefiting families and children in Orange and Sullivan counties.
The Boys and Girls Club collects applications from qualifying families, based on income and need, and distributes backpacks filled with school supplies such as pencils, notebooks, binders, glue sticks, crayons, scissors and lunchboxes.
Thanks to the staff and community, Garnet Health Medical Center and Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills collected a total of 18 boxes filled with these essential school supplies, helping local students be better prepared for the start of the school year.
“We’re so thrilled by the generous donation of school supplies from Garnet Health this year!” said Sophie Samul, development and communications manager at the Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Club. “Community means everything to us here at The Club, and we are only able to touch as many lives as we do thanks to Garnet Health and our other local partners. Thanks to their support, we are able to provide over 300 children with the essential tools they need to thrive this school year. We are truly grateful for Garnet Health’s partnership!”
