Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills’, formerly Catskill Regional Medical Center, Grover M. Hermann Hospital has received Press Ganey’s 2021 Guardian of Excellence Award® for Patient Experience in its Emergency Department for the fourth consecutive year and 2021 Pinnacle of Excellence Award for Patient Experience its Emergency Department for the second consecutive year.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by Press Ganey at the national level for delivering quality care,” said Suzanne Lange Ahmed, Chief Nursing Officer and VP of Patient Care Services at Garnet Health Medical Center - Catskills. “Our clinicians and staff are focused on patient-centered care and are dedicated to the well-being of our community.”

The Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized honor bestowed upon top-performing healthcare organizations who consistently sustain performance in the top 5% of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period over the course of the assessment year.

The Hospital also received Press Ganey’s Guardian of Excellence Award® in 2018, 2019, 2020 and has established a well-known and respected reputation for delivering excellent care in its Emergency Department.

Garnet Health Medical Center - Catskills’ Grover M. Hermann Hospital also received Press Ganey’s Pinnacle of Excellence Award for patient experience in its Emergency Department for a second year. The award recognizes top-performing clients from health care organizations nationwide on the basis of extraordinary achievement and consistently high levels of excellence in Patient Experience.
