A day of education to inform expecting families of various helpful programs

Catskill Regional Medical Center will host its Birth & Baby Fest, on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Catskill Regional Medical Center, 68 Harris-Bushville Road, in Harris, NY.

The event is free for all pregnant women and new parents and is sponsored by Maternal Infant Services Inc. (MISN), the Sullivan County Breastfeeding Coalition and Catskill Regional Medical Center. It provides a day of education to inform expecting families of various helpful programs and support in Sullivan County.

Throughout the event, brief educational mini-workshops will be presented on topics such as:

  • Nutrition
  • Breastfeeding
  • Car seat safety
  • Safe sleep

Catskill Regional Medical Group’s physicians for newborn to adult care and Catskill Regional Medical Group Pediatric Hospitalist and Medical Director of Pediatrics for the Greater Hudson Valley Health System, Anjana Poonthota, will be available to speak with participants.

There will be raffle prizes and diaper giveaways, free gifts for all pregnant women and tours of the Catskill Regional Medical Center Birthing Center will be available.
