Becomes the only urgent care facility in Sullivan County certified by Urgent Care Association of America

Catskill Regional Medical Group Urgent Care has received the Certified Urgent Care designation, distinguishing it as a Certified Urgent Care Category 2 facility. Opened in May of 2017, Catskill Regional Medical Center Urgent Care is a state-of-the-art facility that provides access to fast, comprehensive and professional healthcare to patients in need of immediate medical attention, but who do not require a visit to the emergency room.

This designation places Catskill Regional Medical Center Urgent Care among a select few such centers across the country to have met all established criteria of the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA). Located conveniently at the corner of Route 42 and Concord Road in Monticello, Catskill Regional Medical Center is the only urgent care in Sullivan County to have earned this designation from the UCAOA.

“Our urgent care in Monticello has been open less than a year, and we’ve accomplished great things in that short amount of time,” said Dr. Rona Heublum-Colton, Medical Director of Urgent Care for Greater Hudson Valley Health System. “This is something we worked hard to achieve, and we’re really excited to be here to take care of the Sullivan County community.”

In the ever-changing healthcare environment, it is important for patients to understand their treatment options. Urgent care is a convenient and viable option for medical conditions that cannot wait for a scheduled appointment with a primary care physician. Catskill Regional Medical Center Urgent Care accepts walk-in patients with no appointments necessary during all hours of operation – 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week.

“We are committed to providing the best quality healthcare to every patient, when they need it,” said Dr. Gerard Galarneau, President of the Catskill Regional Medical Group. “Our urgent care facilities deliver on that commitment.”

For medical conditions that cannot wait – such as unexpected cuts, burns, sprains or fractures and do not require a visit to the emergency department – Catskill Regional Medical Center Urgent Care is well-equipped with x-ray and laboratory services, and licensed providers are always available to perform minor procedures like splinting and suturing.

With this certification, Catskill Regional Medical Center Urgent Care and the Urgent Care Association of America demonstrate their shared commitment toward providing patients with access to appropriate levels of care.
