Garnet Health Employee Appointed to Leadership Orange Board

Garnet Health is pleased to announce that Royce Pilkington, MPH, has been appointed to the Leadership Orange Board of Directors. Pilkington is the Planning and Grants Analyst at Garnet Health, serving Garnet Health Medical Center, Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills, Garnet Health Doctors, and Garnet Health Urgent Care.

Leadership Orange is a nonprofit organization located in Orange County, New York. Established in 1992 by local community and business leaders to identify and cultivate the next generation of leaders in Orange County, Leadership Orange is now the county’s premier multi-dimensional leadership training program for adults and youth.

In his role at Garnet Health, Pilkington oversees all aspects of federal, state, and local grant funding for the health system. He also plays a critical role in the health system’s planning for service line growth, and regulatory approvals for service and facility expansion. Since joining Garnet Health in February 2020, Pilkington has coordinated relief funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and has worked directly with federal agencies, including FEMA, to help ensure the organization’s economic stability throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Leadership Orange Class of 2021 graduate, Pilkington earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from the University at Albany, State University of New York, and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
