Garnet Health Medical Center Announces Nursing Promotions

MIDDLETOWN, NY (Aug. 21, 2026) — Garnet Health Medical Center is pleased to announce two nursing promotions: Maria Battipaglia-Nieves, BSN, RN, to Nursing Unit Director, 4 South Progressive Care Unit; and , to Nursing Unit Director, 3 South Stroke Unit/Progressive Care Unit.  

Battipaglia-Nieves began her career as a phlebotomist at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She joined Garnet Health Medical Center in 2017 as a registered nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. In January 2025, she was promoted to assistant director of nursing, overseeing nursing leadership and staffing across the hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Walden University.

Jablonski began her nursing career at Arden Hill Hospital, where she served as a wound care champion for eight years. She advanced into nursing leadership at Garnet Health Medical Center in 2015 as nursing director of the 4 North Medical-Surgical Unit and, in March 2023, assumed leadership of 3 South PCU/Stroke Unit. Jablonski is certified in medical-surgical nursing and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College.
