On Thursday, October 10, Orange Regional Medical Center will be take part in the 6th Annual Organ Donor Enrollment Day, organized by LiveOnNY, a nonprofit, federally designated organ procurement organization dedicated to saving lives, providing comfort and strengthening legacies through organ, eye, and tissue donation.

The event is open to the public. An information and donor enrollment booth will be set up near the cafeteria on the ground floor at Orange Regional Medical Center located at 707 East Main Street in Middletown from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

“The goal of Organ Donor Enrollment Day is to increase the number of organ donors, and potentially save lives, by enrolling as many willing people as possible in a single day,” said Kathy Bermo, RN, Nursing Director, Intensive Care Services and Orange Regional Medical Center’s 2019 Organ Donor Enrollment Champion. “We are pleased to be working with LiveOnNY again as part of this lifesaving movement.”

The event will be open to the public and does not require pre-registration.

Orange Regional Medical Center staff will be on hand to assist and everyone who enrolls as an organ donor will receive a free gift. Anyone wishing to become an organ or tissue donor can also register online at www.Registerme.org/EnrollmentDay.
