About this event
This class is alternating hybrid. Every other class will be held in person at Middletown Thrall Library, with the alternating classes held virtually on Zoom. Program consists of 16 sessions conducted about once a week, followed by 6-8 more sessions conducted monthly. All classes are led by a certified life coach: Jeanette Maysonet-Myles, Garnet Health Community Health, RN Clinician. English and Spanish.Through year-long sessions and with the support of a group, lifestyle coaches trained to use a CDC-approved curriculum help you stay motivated to:
- Make small changes to the way you eat without giving up the foods you love
- Increase your physical activity levels to 30 minutes a few days a week
- Manage your stress
The program follows a research-based curriculum that starts with weekly group meetings for the first six months, followed by upkeep sessions to keep you on track to meet your goals.
PLEASE NOTE: This is the alternating hybrid version of this course and will alternate between in-person at the Thrall Library and online using Zoom. Please make sure you have a computer or mobile device that has a camera and microphone that works with Zoom.
