Garnet Health Medical Center’s Ray W. Moody, M.D. Breast Center is pleased to announce Paula Pope, RN as Breast Patient Navigator.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Paula’s experience join our team,” said Michele Worden, BSN, Garnet Health Medical Center’s Ray W. Moody, M.D. Breast Center Manager. “Our patients benefit from her knowledge and compassion.”

As Breast Patient Navigator and a breast cancer survivor, Ms. Pope is an advocate, educator, cheerleader and supporter of breast cancer patients and their care. Ms. Pope guides patients through the healthcare system, helps coordinate appointments, tests and services and facilitates communication between patients and their medical teams. She also facilitates the Garnet Health Breast Cancer Support Group. 

Ms. Pope began her medical career in 2013 as a Pediatric nurse and held the position of Oncology nurse for almost three years before joining Garnet Health Medical Center in 2017 in the Emergency Department and later in the Labor and Delivery Unit. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Felician University in New Jersey. Ms. Pope is one of three patient navigators at Garnet Health Medical Center.
