About Patricia Mangan, MD

Patricia Mangan, M.D., F.A.A.P., a native of Rockland County, graduated cum laude from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse in 1982 and completed her pediatric training at Yale New Haven Hospital in 1985. Board certified in 1986 by the American Board of Pediatrics, she is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. After finishing at Yale, Dr. Mangan joined a private pediatric practice in Branford, Connecticut. Three months later she took a vacation to England, where she met her husband Neil, a native of Melbourne, Australia. They were married in July 1986, and she subsequently emigrated to Melbourne. 

During her 11 wonderful years in Australia, she worked for the Child and Family Health Services of the state of Victoria, evaluating and treating children with developmental, learning and behavioral problems. She has a special interest in autism, serving as the consultant doctor for the Mentone Autistic School and serving on the Regional Autism Panel for the state of Victoria. Dr. Mangan returned to the U.S. in 1997 and joined Washingtonville Pediatrics. She continues her interest in developmental disabilities, autism-spectrum disorders, learning disabilities and behavioral problems. She lives in Blooming Grove with Neil and their two sons. In her spare time she roots passionately for her beloved New York Mets.
