Garnet Health, which includes Garnet Health Medical Center, Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills, Garnet Health Doctors, Garnet Health Urgent Care, Garnet Health Foundation and Garnet Health Foundation – Catskills, is pleased to announce the following clinical leadership promotions.

Mary Kate Donohue, RN has been promoted to Administrator of Cardiology Services for Garnet Health.

In her new role, Ms. Donohue oversees the Cardiology departments at Garnet Health Medical Center and Garnet Health Medical Center- Catskills. She will also be responsible for upgrades to the cardiology electronic health record system platform, planning for expansion of services in the Cardiac Catheterization labs, and the Cardiothoracic Surgery Program at Garnet Health Medical Center.

Ms. Donohue joined Garnet Health in 2010 as a Registered Nurse on the Progressive Care Unit and was promoted to Supervisor of Central Monitoring in 2013. In 2015, she was promoted to Director of Cardiology Services at Garnet Health Medical Center which included Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, the Healthy Heart Program and the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. In 2018, she assumed oversight of Garnet Health Medical Center - Catskill's Cardiology Services.

Ms. Donohue received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration degree.

Maureen Donnelly, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, RN-BC has been promoted to Administrator of Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills, Grover M. Hermann Hospital Campus.

In her new role, Ms. Donnelly provides direction and leadership to clinical departments and facility staff. She works collaboratively with department leaders, community organizations, and the Hospital’s Auxiliary to support development at Grover M. Hermann Hospital. Additionally, Ms. Donnelly oversees operations of the Hospital’s nursing services and is responsible for ensuring that safe and efficient care is provided to all patients. 

Ms. Donnelly joined Garnet Health Medical Center in 2015 as Director of Nursing Informatics, where she was the liaison between the clinical and information technology departments. In 2017, she became Director of Nursing Process Management, where she oversaw initiatives to improve nursing processes and compliance within quality regulatory standards.

Ms. Donnelly received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude, from Salve Regina University, and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Walden University. She is a Board-certified Nurse Executive as well as a Board-certified Informatics Nurse.
