Garnet Health Offers Free Yoga Classes for Cancer Patients

MIDDLETOWN, NY (Jan. 16, 2026) — Spagnoli Family Cancer Center at Garnet Health Medical Center is hosting free yoga classes for cancer patients currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation, as well as those within six months of completing treatment. Participants do not need to be a Garnet Health patient to register. 

Yoga sessions can help cancer patients reduce stress, anxiety and fatigue, while also supporting their overall physical and emotional well-being during treatment.

The program will take place on the second Tuesday and second Thursday of each month, running through December. Tuesday sessions will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., and Thursday sessions from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m., at 707 East Main Street, Outpatient Building, 3rd Floor, 3B South Conference Room, Middletown, New York 10940.

Important details:

• The registered yoga instructor for this program is Elisa Piscitelli, E-RYT.
• Mats and equipment will be provided at each session.
• Patients will be contacted before their first session to get clearance and to sign a waiver.
• Class size will be limited to 10 individuals to ensure safe distance for immunocompromised participants.
• All cancer patients welcome.
