On May 6, 2021, Garnet Health Medical Center, formerly Orange Regional Medical Center, partnered with Monroe-Woodbury High School to vaccinate students 16 years and older. Garnet Health Board of Directors Members Don Beeler, Susan Murray-Tetz and Ginny Rizzo were also in attendance to show support for the vaccination team and students. With parental consent, students received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

Garnet Health Medical Center’s vaccination team will return to administer second doses at the appropriate time. The vaccination team’s next student clinic will be at John S. Burke Catholic High School on May 14, 2021. Plans to hold vaccination clinics at other area high schools are being discussed.
