Garnet Health Doctors Welcomes New Trauma Medical Director

MIDDLETOWN, NY (Sept 23, 2026) — Garnet Health Doctors is pleased to welcome Amanda Teichman, MD, FACS, as the new Trauma Medical Director for Garnet Health Medical Center’s Level II Trauma Center.
Dr. Teichman is a board-certified general surgeon with specialized training in surgical critical care. She brings extensive experience in trauma, emergency general surgery and surgical critical care, most recently serving in leadership roles at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, including Director of Trauma Performance Improvement and Director of Quality for the Division of Acute Care Surgery.
With a medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Teichman completed her general surgery residency at Hahnemann University Hospital and her surgical critical care fellowship at Cooper University Hospital. She currently serves as an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course director and Stop the Bleed instructor, demonstrating her commitment to trauma education and community outreach.
As Trauma Medical Director, Dr. Teichman will oversee care and provide inpatient trauma coverage at Garnet Health Medical Center’s Level II Trauma Center.
